The Kingwood and Lake Houston area is home to tons of outdoor Festivals, Parties, and Activities throughout the year. Below is information on a lot of them. If we are missing any please let us know and we will get them up here. Click on any of the flyers for more information.

NEW HOLIDAY EVENTS ALONG THE KINGS HARBOR WATERFRONT

Ring in the holiday season with festive holiday décor, an outdoor movie, an appearance by Santa and live holiday tunes at Kings Harbor.

The Harbor is hosting the first-ever Movies Under the Moon on November 21 at 7 PM. The great holiday classic, The Polar Express will play in the moonlight on a massive 32 foot wide screen in the plaza, allowing for great views. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants beforehand, and bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the movie starting at 7 PM. Enjoy tasty holiday treats from participating tenants, including hot chocolate for a dollar from Sharky’s.

Holiday at the Harbor, presented by Atascocita Modern Dentistry and MyKids Dentist & Orthodontics, returns this year on December 7 from 4-7 PM with a visit from Santa and live holiday tunes. The celebration will begin with a memorable entrance from Santa, time to visit, make wishes and take pictures. The Pete Simple Band will perform holiday favorites in the plaza and there will be a toy drive during the event to support Humble Area Assistance Ministries. A list of suggested items for donation is available on the Kings Harbor web site.

“Atascocita Modern Dentistry and MyKids Dentist and Orthodontics are proud sponsors of the Holiday at the Harbor Concert at Kings Harbor,” said Regional Marketing Specialist Amber Vermillion. “We know the holiday concert will bring joy to the hearts of community members and smiles to their faces. Our goal is to provide healthy smiles.”

On December 13, the local band from Woodridge Baptist Church in Kingwood will perform holiday favorites from 7-8 PM. Further, patrons are invited back to enjoy The Megawatts Band, the official rock band of the Kingwood High School Choir, at their concert onDecember 20 from 7 to 8:30 PM. The performance will feature a wide variety of pop and rock music from the Beatles to Queen and Billy Joel.

Finally, ring in 2014 at with dinner and a performance from the Potbelly Duo from 5 PM to 8 PM along the waterfront. Potbelly Duo covers a wide variety of music ranging from Power Pop, Alternative Rock, Johnny Cash and everything in between. Winners in theHouston Press 2010 Music Awards, the group “wants people to have a good time, enjoy themselves, and the music!” Patrons may visit the Kings Harbor web site to learn more about the restaurants’ New Year’s Eve specials. This is sure to be a fun and festive way to round out 2013.

Lake Houston Trade Days

Over 200 Booths and growing daily, this is the event that used to be Humble Trade Days. Come on out for a great day of shopping some of the best crafts, collectibles, clothing, furniture, jewelry, food, antiques, and much much more! And that's just the beginning. There will also be a Huge Kids Play area, with Bounce Houses a petting zoo, extreme sports demos, face painting, spin art, and more as well as a Custom and Classic Car and Motorcycle Show, Pet Adoption/Clinic, Farmers Market, Live Music by a National or regional recording artist, Art Exhibits, Wine Walk and Chocolate Bar, Silent Auction and Raffle and more attractions being added regularly.

Proceeds from Lake Houston Trade Days will benefit 5 of the best local charities from the Lake Houston Area including Humble Area Assistance Ministries, Wills Kids, Curefest for MD Anderson Brain Cancer Research, Family Time Crisis and Counseling Center and the Village Learning and Achievement Center.


Admission is Free, though we ask that all vendors and Attendees bring a non-perishable food item or gently used children's clothing item to help support our charities. We will also accept cash donations for those charities at this event.

Texas Sawmill Festival      Saturday April 27th, 2013

The 7th Annual Texas Sawmill Festival is located at the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) Complex in New Caney Texas. Join us onSaturday April 27, 2013 at 10 am until 4 pm. Admission and parking is free.
 
The festival is an historical celebration of our Sawmill Town heritage featuring live sawmill demonstrations by Alvin Smith Logging, historical photo displays by the EMC Historical Society and Old Sawmill Townbuildings.
 
Fun, Fun, Fun - Activities for children
Bring your children for a full day of fun activities.
Free - Petting Zoo, Climbing Rock Wall, Obstacle Course, Hoops, Bouncer and don't miss the Water Games with the Fire Fighters.

We have continuous performances on our outdoor stage during the day by local school groups, dance groups, musicians and live bands.

Kingwood's July 4th Festival & Fireworks        July 4th, 2013   

The party normally starts around 2:00pm and lasts till around 9:00

Curefest 2013       Saturday August 17th, 2013

Humble Civic Center and Arena Complex

In 2012, Curefest raised over $150,000 for Brain Cancer Research. Through events like a Silent Auction, Custom and Classic Car and Motorcycle Show, Live Music from Javier Colon of NBC's "The Voice", and a whole lot more, the staff, volunteers and entertainers at Curefest were able to make a huge difference in the lives of cancer sufferers in the future. This year will be no exception.

With Live music from Kingwood/Humble's THE FAB 5 and a lot more to be announced, Curefest is on track to once again make a huge difference. More info to come, stay tuned.

This Is Kingwood Festival       Saturday September 7th, 2013

 

This Is Kingwood Festival, set to take place on September 7th, 2013 in Kingwood's Town Center Park at the corner of Kingwood Dr. and W. Lake Houston Parkway. What is  This Is Kingwood Festival all about? Simply put, it's a celebration of the Kingwood lifestyle, culture, the arts and entertainment.
Live Music, Local Artists, A Huge kids area with Bounce Houses, Game Kraze, etc., A 5K Run/Walk (benefitting our charities) To the event, Food from some of the best area restaurants, local dance, martial arts and drama presentations, pet adoption and mobile vet clinic, a petting zoo for the kids, over 200 vendors from right here in the Kingwood area, a silent and live auction to benefit our charities (see below) and a whole lot more!

This is a FREE EVENT for the whole family to attend! That said, there will be some ticketed/donation items and attractions at This Is Kingwood Festival, including the silent and live auctions, 50/50 raffle, 5K Walk/Run, etc. which we have set up to benefit three of our favorite local Kingwood Area organizations including Will's Kids, Addi's Faith Foundation and The Village Learning and Achievement Center. 

Come have a blast, support some great causes and make some new memories!
   

 

Christmas In The Park           Saturday Dec. 7th, 2013

Kingwood's Town Center Park

Live Music, dancing, food, drinks, vendors from all over the area and a special tree lighting at 6:00 pm to finish
off the night right.
 
This is an annual Kingwood tradition that is not to be missed. 
This popular event will offer local residents and those in surrounding areas the merriment of shops, entertainment, 
vendors, fanciful eateries, artists, Santa Claus, and more. Join neighbors and friends in the highlight of our
Christmas season—when treasures from around the world are brought to you and the spirit of the Holidays is
warming the hearts all around.

Joining us this year for entertainment, we will have the pleasure of watching our local children dance, photos
with Santa and your pet and more. We will whisk you away to the fairytale land of Christmas when you browse our
many vendors and local shops. To conclude this festive event we will be lighting our Christmas tree at 6:00 PM.
