Tech Tuesdays: “Online Advertising” Scheduled For August 7 at Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce

HUMBLE, TX— An “Online Advertising” seminar will be the third installment of the 2012 Tech Tuesdays Seminar Series. The seminar which is presented by C3 Solutions is scheduled for 2 pm, Tuesday, August 7 and will be facilitated by Jillyn Johnson of Search It Media.

As the Internet is now commanding over 15% of advertising budgets with a steady 25-35% growth year over year, paid advertisements (i.e. Google AdWords, Yahoo Sponsored Search) continue to play a major role in how businesses are found on the Internet.  Paid ads, in conjunction with a solid natural search strategy (SEO), can create brand dominance and quickly move a company from being found on 10-20 key phrases to hundreds or thousands of key phrases in just minutes. Search It Media’s Niche is Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising – a critical space within Search Engine Marketing.

In the seminar, Johnson will focus on five areas of online marketing:

  1. Understanding the SERP – Search Engine Results Page
  2. When/How to do SEO, PPC and Local Search Ads
  3. Determining Your Budget
  4. Setting Realistic Expectations and Goals
  5. What to Avoid
Johnson is the owner and managing partner of Search It Media, a privately owned and managed company focused on helping elective medical businesses and non-profit organizations be found via the Internet in their target markets and communities.

Johnson has 16 years experience in Internet-based application design/promotion with a focus on creative marketing and technical analysis. She resides in The Woodlands with clients across US and Canada.

The Chamber offers free admittance to the Tech Tuesdays seminars for all members and charges only $10 for guests. To make a reservation visitwww.lakehouston.org or call 281-446-2128.

Congressman Ted Poe will speak at the Chamber's luncheon at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 21 at Kingwood Country Club. Poe is a leading advocate in Washington for limited government, free markets, low taxes and individual liberty.
Prior to serving in Congress, Poe served for 22 years as a criminal court judge in Houston where he garnered national media attention for his innovative sentences - dubbed "Poetic Justice." Prior to that, he served for eight years in the Harris County District Attorney's Office, where he became the chief felony prosecutor and never lost a jury trial.
He serves on the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees. An outspoken advocate on border security, he travels regularly to the southern border to meet directly with local law enforcement and residents. He also often visits our troops in the War Zones of Iraq and Afghanistan. Poe established the bipartisan Victims' Rights Caucus (VRC) to advocate on behalf of victims in our nation's capital. A strong constitutionalist, Congressman Poe stands firmly in the belief of "we the people" not "we the subjects."
Reservations for the luncheon must be made by 12 p.m., Friday, August 17, and the cost to attend is $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-chamber members.  For more information click here or call Chamber office at 281-446-2128.
